The world is getting more interconnect and instrument as machines and smart devices become an integral part of human and industrial life. Jet engines and cars now talk to the internet. It is now time to make sure of this M2M (machine-to-machine) communication and get the Intelligence out of it. Various initiatives are in place today such the Industrial Internet - term often used by General Electric (GE), Smarter Planet - term often used by IBM and now Oracle announcing the Platform for Internet of Things (I0T) a term also popularized by Cisco.
Through this blog, I will try to share my understanding of The Industrial Internet of Things as I start to work on it. Oracle recently unveiled their work on the Internet of Things Platform at the Oracle Openworld Sep 2013. More to come...
